de:LUX: Lifeline
Your life will be no more than a slice of time
but the edges can be endless.
A creative Audio and Visual catalyst that enables the fast prototyping of creative ideas by artists embedded in archives through non-competitive collaboration. In 2018, blekksprut1/factory light festival (Norway) in collaboration with Einkofi Productions, Iceland started de:LUX, a new platform for developing cross-sector collaborations between the heritage and AV creative community. It is a series of non-competitive collaborative creative events taking place in various locations in Nordic Countries, where visual and sonic artists from the two or more countries are partnered up to deliver a time-bound light and sound installation challenge over 48 hours.
A total of seven de:LUX challenges have successfully been completed. This Nordic collaboration project is expanding, and artists and partners based in Finland and Denmark are included. At Suomenlinna island in Helsinki, November 2021, three Nordic artists from Iceland, Norway and Finland will work together to create a unique audio-visual experience for FLASH3.
